This installation uses information from the intensity and movement of the water in a remote location. Wave g-force and acceleration data was collected during a voyage on Lake Superior. The wave data is scaled and transferred to the mechanical grid structure resulting in a simulation of the physical effects caused by the movement of water.

Seven memory slots for audio signals. At the beginning of the process, each audio memory contains a single sine wave, with a randomly chosen frequency. In regular intervals two of the memories swap a segment of their wave data. After a while, that process creates complex rhythmical patterns, diffused in space. After a much longer while, the signal will turn into a stream of slowly changing colored noise. During the course of the exhibition the system resets itself in random intervalls…
