Paris' Picasso Museum Reopens After Five Years Of Drawn-Out Renovations
Following five years of renovations intended to last only two years, the Musée Picasso Paris has opened its doors to display over 5,000 works by Pablo Picasso that spent the time in storage or on the road for exhibitions. The museum, housed in a 17th-century mansion known as the Hôtel Salé in the Marais District, reopened on Saturday.
The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York has put its epic, 1930’s Thomas Hart Benton mural “America Today” on display in its American wing for the first time since it received the cycle from AXA Equitable Life Insurance company in 2012.
