Rare, French, Rocaille style mirror: In solid, carved giltwood. First half of the 19th century.
Beautiful beading mirror gilded wood richly carved with scrolls, foliage and scrolls fillets topped with winged dragons. The pediment decorated with olive branches on one side and oak on the other. In the center, a large jagged asymmetrical shell with acanthus leaves topped with a cocoa bean. Start of Louis XV.
