Crimean Artist Ivan Konstantinovich Aivazovsky (Иван Константинович Айвазовский) lived between 1817-1900. He was well known at the time for being a prolific artist, it is estimated that throughout his lifetime, he painted about 6000 paintings. He recreated battles, biblical iconography and ancient mythology, but his most popular subject, was his representation of seascapes.
