Princess Maxima, now Queen Maxima of the Netherlands, wears this simple but stunning diamond bandeau. The Diamond Bandeau consists of twenty-seven very large old mine diamonds set as a single graduating row on platinum frame. The central diamond, with light yellowish hue (Cape), is slightly oval. The large diamonds were taken from the rivière of 34 large old European cut diamonds. Bandeau contains more than 100 carat weight in diamonds.
