Hubble's Advanced Camera for Surveys reveals individual stars and star clusters in the spiral galaxy NGC 300 around 7 million light-years from Earth. A dense swarm of stars, patches of dust, and a bright star cluster are visible near the nucleus of the galaxy. Similar clusters are thought to be involved in the formation of supermassive black holes
