This beautiful Art Nouveau Circa 1900 silver overlay vase has emerald green glass and is intricately design with large flowers and leaves. Large flowers cover the base of the vase and just below the upper rim. The leaves intertwine around the neck of the vase. The vase measures 10" tall and has a long neck measuring about 6". It does have Alvin hallmarks and is also marked 999/100 G3485-1

A lovely-shaped Antique American Sterling Silver Overlay Vase decorated at its lower body with a circle of large Art Nouveau flowers and an oval monogram plate inscribed with a script M. Intricate leaves climb up the neck of the vase and bloom into more flowers at the mouth of the vase. An unusual and quite charming design! Made by Alvin Corp., Providence, Rhode Island- the most well known and most prolific make of silver overlay. Circa 1900.
