Identifying specific brands that use heat or chemically treat their sphagnum moss can be challenging due to the lack of explicit disclosures or detailed information on the treatment processes used by many companies. Chemically treated moss can retain some of the chemicals used and harm your plants! Heat will kill off any remaining spores and prevent your moss from regrowing. I have tested several different brands of moss for my houseplants and the Legigo brand my favorite!
