Jean Cocteau floating among his astronauts. This is a portion of a large-scale work he created for Terre et Cosmos, an exposition about space exploration at the Palais de la Découverte, 1958. I took the photo from the Oct. 2003 issue of Télérama hors-série dedicated to Cocteau.

This a stained glass made by the French writer and artist Jean Cocteau. He made it for the church of th little village he chose to live in at the end of his life (Milly la fôret). Now he is buried in its very church under the eyes of his own work. Stained glass is much more tha a simple window because it creates the amosphere of a church. And this one reminds us a great man...as the first stained glass of History reminded people the Holy story.
