I made this collection of ceramic rings using my recycled porcelain and stoneware clay. Every single item has been shaped by hand and put through what is known as biscuit firing. After that I applied various paints, oxides and glazes and fired my rings to Cone 10 in potters kiln. The rings are covered in glaze on the outside, as well as the inside, but you will note that the rim of the rings is left unglazed. That is done to allow the ring to be fired on the side and prevent glaze dripping. For your comfort I have sanded and polished the unglazed side. The rings that feature gold or white gold had 22 k gold luster applied and were fired for the third time. You will note that rings are not always perfectly round as each item is shaped by hand.
