Lavender lemonade from Thug Kitchen. Pardon his French. This stuff is delightful and it couldn't be easier. I used regular lemons and not quite so much, which worked out fine since regular lemons are more sour than meyers. Go make this beverage while it's still summer. Go.
How to Make Any Fruit Crisp (or Crumble) in 5 Steps. This is the real deal, folks. It's how I've made fruit crumbles for years, and it takes about ten minutes to get dessert in the oven. Can't say that about a scratch fruit pie, can you?
Tian d'abricots et de pêches à la crème d'amande. Either use less fruit or double or triple to almond creme recipe. The ratio was wonky. But the finished product was DELISH.
Buttermilk blueberry cake. Delish. I used a generous tsp. of lemon extract instead of lemon zest since I had it on hand. It also took closer to an hour to bake.
How to make real butterscotch.
Master Hayden’s butterbeer recipe. This is an absolutely fabulous hot butterbeer recipe. I just omitted the cinnamon because I didn't imagine it being that way in the books and I added a dash of salt to deepen the butterscotch flavor.
This bread pudding came out absolutely perfect (and prettier than the picture) the first time. I used challah from Trader Joe's for the bread and now I'll never use anything else.
Rice pudding. This is my go-to chilly weather late night snack. It's not even very bad for you, and it's worth every bit of the 45-minute wait. I make mine without raisins.
The famed brownie recipe from Baked NYC. When I finally put these suckers in the oven, I seriously doubted if they would wind up being worth the work (and they were a lot of work, no lie). But the texture of these brownies alone is worth the price of admission, and the taste is just a tiny bit different from anything you've ever tasted. I recommend serving them unadorned except for a simple dollop of freshly whipped cream.
Best chocolate chip cookies. New standard recipe. These are perfect.
