Grasse

Grasse is reached in about 20 minutes from Villa Oleander. Founded by the Romans, and originally known for its leather and oil trade, it is now one of France's leading producers of perfume. Guided tours of perfume production are available from the big names of Fragonard, Galimard (where you can create your own perfume!) and Molinard - a great rainy day option.
