Frank words can work wonders, as demonstrated by French supermarket Intermarche's Inglorious Fruit and Vegetables campaign, created by French ad agency Marcel. The initiative encouraged customers to purchase discount, imperfect fruit and vegetables that would otherwise be discarded. The usually disregarded produce was put front and centre in-store with its own labelling, display and receipt space.
