Setting a stone in wax! ⚒️ 💎 This was the fourth project for term two of my Diploma, and not only did I have to make the setting for a faceted stone, I had to carve the ring band too. I’m really starting to love working with wax. It’s messy, but it’s also quiet and meditative and I find I can easily get absorbed in the process, which isn’t a bad thing. Here's a custom signet ring I finished last week, and a bit of a tutorial on making a signet in wax. I did forget to say the very first step is to get the inner diameter to the correct ring size, with a wax reamer, this has to be the first step so you can get your height and thickness based off that!
