I created a set of illustrations for vineyard Kollerhof in Styria, Austria.

Manifesto Design is a graphic design studio in Perth Western Australia specialising in Naming, Branding, Logos, Wine Label Design, Packaging Design, Annual Reports and Websites.

We took our inspiration from the Kalahari Desert, a large semi-arid sandy savannah in Southern Africa. We took out our sketchbooks out and created a bare abstract artwork that did just that. A watercolour painting was born, one that depicts the wild energy and life force of this unique place. The ruggedness transports wine lovers to this incredible land and captures the remarkableness of aged vines.

With thousands of bottles lining the shelves, the design of the wine label plays a significant role in drawing the attention of potential customers

Each varietal is differentiated with its own colour-way, patterns and textures within the illustration highlighted with touches of gold foil and the trees are given a tactile feel with a raised high build screen. The distinctive irregular shape of the front and back labels compliments the illustration and creates a more natural and organic feel for the Mandoon brand, and immediate brand recognition.
