I had tried so many ways to avoid the holes that always seem to be present at underarms and gussets: working extra stitches and then decreasing them, picking up extra stitches, picking up stitches with a smaller needle. And sometimes one or the other worked fairly well and I would get my hopes up. But in the end: those gusset points are areas of hard wear because the fabric is pulling different ways and creating extra stress on the join. More often than not, it ends up looking a bit sloppy. Is this you, too? Because if it is, this method is life changing! You can even use it after trying other methods.
