I absolutely LOVE beach volleyball when the Olympics roll around, so I colored the volleyball with yellow and blue plus made some sandy hills by tearing and sponging kraft cardstock. My husband's aunt asked me for a sweet sixteen birthday card for her granddaughter who loves to play volleyball. Today I share with you a thank you card I created for my daughter's volleyball coach. During the summer my oldest daughter tried her hand at volleyball and did very well. My husband and I use to play many, many years ago at least 3 times a week, but since moving and having kids there seems to be no time for us to play anymore. I know some day we will be able to but for now it is our kids turn to play. So the season is coming to an end in just 2 weeks so we will be giving this thank you card…

Volleyball Card-Quikutz Dies

This turned out to be such a great card for a male friend at work. He loves volleyball. I first stamped the frog on white paper, then I took a flower punch and used the flower cutout to sponge clouds around the frog. I created the net manually with manicure sticks, ribbon and thread. I then just tore various shades of beige and made the sand. The ball was just hand drawn. I made about 15 before I got it even close to looking like a volleyball. :D
