While taking costume design classes in college, I realized that paper doll books were a great reference source. They captured the popular clothing of the era they were created.

This month's theme for the paper doll collaboration project is Future Fashion. I was very inspired by Retro future, like Flash Gordon, Buck Rogers and the Jetsons cartoon. I love geometric shapes in futuristic designs. I image these outfits in metallic colors with bright neon accents, maybe holographic print. I've restored this sheet of tiny paper dolls for children who love the classic fairy tale "Cinderella". The figures were originally produced by Helen Pettes. The characters from the book are as follows: the handsome Prince, Cinderella, the coach, men and horses, the palace officials, two wicked stepsisters, and several animal friends. Print, cut, and mount these tiny paper dolls to heavy cardboard.
