School for disabled architecture

The Egmont High School holds a position as Denmark’s leading institution for people with physical disabilities. Multifaceted accessibility characterizes the schools entity, and everybody is dedicated to this responsibility. The new rehabilitation center provides a statement, a landmark that exposes the functional needs of the school architecturally and thus provides a renewed identity to the school’s old buildings.

Alfreton Park is a special educational needs and disabilities all-through school, in which all pupils and staff strive to create a secure, welcoming and inclusive learning environment. The site is located close to a cluster of buildings and institutions that provide care to people of Derbyshire with Special Needs, forming a campus-like family of nurturing buildings within a park setting.

Brooks + Scarpa recently completed the SIX, a 52-unit LEED Platinum affordable housing project that provides a home, support services and rehabilitation for disabled veterans. It is located in the MacArthur Park area of Los Angeles.

Sultangazi Rehab Center for Disabled People

Hazelwood School District was designed by Alan Dunlop Architect Limited, Hazelwood School District is for children and young people, aged 2 to 18, who are blind and deaf – “dual sensory impaired”. Architecturally, it is a new type of project.
