Looking at the strict mourning etiquettes of the Victorian era, it was impossible to separate oneself from grief. With this in mind the collection heightens this to the extreme - in doing so, the wearer becomes the physical embodiment of loss. Adopting some of the classic Victorian mourning fabrics and colour palette, the collection draws inspiration from not only the female mourning dresses, but also the mourning suits of the men, creating a juxtaposition between the two.
