Nerve cells also known as neurons, are the cells of nervous system. These cells communicate with each other and other cells, via nerve impulse (electric signals), due to which, organs of the body responds to the stimuli.

The nervous tissue is the source of communication throughout the body. Nervous cells are composed of neurons, specialized cells that allow communication throughout the body. Nervous tissues cannot replication, therefore, you are out of luck if one atrophies. Nervous tissues are found in the brain, spinal cord, and the peripheral nerves. There are neurons and neuroglia.
