a close up of a card on a table with the words true beauty written in it

I love the monochromatic look, just pick a colour and go to town. So recently when I had a crafty session with the True Beauty bundle, I decided to create with Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape. These two pair perfectly together and they aren't colours I use often. I'm always in need of Birthday Cards on hand because in the last 6 months I've been sending way more cards and I love doing it. This simple design and layout took no time at all and it's super simple to make. The shadow behind…

a close up of a card with flowers on it and a tag that says keep growing

Hello Friends! Today I have a short post sharing a quick and easy monochome card created using cardstock, an embossing folder and ink blending. Using the Seasonal Blooms 3-D Embossing folder from Altenew, which was part of the Craft Your Life Kit for July , I embossed a 6" square panel of black card and trimmed it slightly to fit on a 6" cardbase. I was between two stamps and went to social media to help make the decision. In the end, the Forever Fern Stamp won by a landslide. Forever Fern

Barely getting these out in time for the class! August, second Saturday, is the next Monochromatic card class, and due to holidays and such, our order at the store was delayed much longer than anticipated. So the samples for the class are only now just completed once our order arrived. Thank you faithful Monochromatic Card class followers that signed up even without knowing what we are making! an orange card with writing on it and a tag attached to the front that says, grateful

With Autumn not far off, I think of the deep blue skies, the changing greens, oranges, and browns. So those are the colours I chose for the four Monochromatic Card colours of September's class. Beautiful colours, are they not! Let's talk about the the blue card first. Here it is. To emboss the background on this beautiful Bazzill Bermuda Blue, I used Spellbinder's Nestabilities Splendid Circles (S4-354), every one of the circles to create the circle pattern. Then I off-set it with Hero Arts…
