The Cloch lighthouse was designed by Thomas Smith and Robert Stevenson in 1797. The fresnel lens here dates from 1903 - it was designed by David and Charles Stevenson and manufactured in France by Barbier, Benard and Turenne with the clockwork mechanism by James Milne and Sons of Edinburgh.
