Random Environment sketches.

These are quick compositions I have done for a personal project: Journey to the Sundered Lands. The objective was to sketch interesting locations to flesh out the Sundered Lands. Each sketch took about 30 min.

A traveler in the desert, walking past a ruined ancient city by the river. In the winter living in Montreal, I always miss the warm sunshine. So a lot of my work lately is gobi or warm tones. :) This one is also one of my recent series. There are process and screenshots of the assets used to accompany the work, I hope it will be helpful to you.

Thumbnail assignments done for Eric Gagnon's How to Sketch class for Syn Studio's Concept Art Diploma pogram. The assignment for the first image here was to create simple 3 tone thumbnails adhering to a wild west town setting. the top 4 images were done on top of a simple google sketchup model whereas the bottom 6 were simply painted outright. The second image is a simple experiment with using alchemy and custom brushes for quick ideation. This was not specifically done for class.
