After it was found out that the Soviet Union had deployed ballistic missiles in Cuba, the United States government grew worried because the missiles were in range of the U.S. By November 1962, all missiles were withdrawn from Cuba. An agreement was made as a result of the crisis, and U.S. missiles positioned in Turkey were also removed.30
