everyone who knows Łódź and this region will tell you that it's flat, dry, boring, there are no rivers, lakes etc... and this is what I thought for many years. BUT in the north-west of Łódź we have forests, fields and Lodz Hills (ok 200m hills) landscape Park and in the west, the small rivers like Bełdówka and Ner or Pisia (and some others) suddenly appear and they flow through beautiful meadows, irrigated by the Dutch settlers at the beginning of the 20th century.
