CONTACT 1997 is a movie that Jodie Foster was not particularly proud of. It uses the same time machine as in the movie Terminator. But Carl Sagan the writer really captured the essence of the spirit of what John Titor is trying to do. Bridge the gap between two cultures.

Photo: Darius Khondji Gil is a somewhat bohemian Hollywood screenwriter who arrives in Paris with his fiancée Inez and her parents. The man is an enthusiast of 1920s Paris and plans to write a book about that era, although his fiancée doesn't understand him. One night, when Gil is walking alone through the streets of the city, he is invited into a limousine and travels back in time. He then meets all the characters he would never have imagined meeting.
