Concept art of an Arctic research station. Inspired by the Heroic Age of Antarctic Exploration. It is was an era in the exploration of the continent of Antarctica which began at the end of the 19th century. Especially the Shackleton–Rowett Expedition and Amundsen's South Pole expedition.

Hi everyone! I'm happy to present my recent personal environment work, which is i worked on for almost 10 weeks. Arctic station with a little bit of futuristic influence. Game level contains various modular elements, six hero assets, and few props, everything has a proper scale, custom collisions and adjusted lightmaps. In few days those assets will be available on Unreal marketplace.

This project was my Final Major Project for my third year of studying Game Art at DMU. It was inspired from the old habitation dome at the McMurdo station in the south pole. This base is supposed to appear as it would the morning after a storm that punctured and damaged the main dome. I learned a lot of new techniques during development and vastly improved my processes, gaining a much better understanding of Unreal Engine and Substance suites, as well as becoming more efficient at modelling…
