This middle or high school sculpture unit only requires a couple of simple materials at a very low cost. Students learn about various famous artists and then choose one of their works to recreate as a cardboard relief sculpture. Students practice their observational drawings skills and learn about foreground, middle ground, and background as well as multiple techniques to create texture using cardboard.
