A sorta elegant appetizer - Pear Slices with Roquefort Cheese, walnuts & pomegranate. Could use apple slices too. Don't like Roquefort? Use one of those spreadable cheeses that Alouette or Rondele makes. Heck, you can even add some finely chopped shrimp into the cheese for extra protein. Turn it into a light meal. (Here's a TIP: If you soak your apple or pear slices in ginger ale prior to serving, they will not darken or discolor.) ~~ Houston Foodlovers Book Club
