The Narrative Object

Objects tell something about their function or we can relate it to a context, which we can associate with actions. It is interesting as a tool for an artist/designer for story telling, questioning, creating debate over social/cultural subjects or gaining awareness. The Narrative Object is very important in speculative design. It's a way of prototyping scenario's, whether it's a future scenario or a scenario about cultural understanding. It helps us to define how we relate to the world around us.
