WPJA 2010 Q2 Contest - CREATIVE PORTRAIT OF BRIDAL PARTY - 12th Place - Photo By: Ron Setiawan from Illinois, United States Judges Comments: Sometimes the best plans are allowing life to happen. I’m not sure if the photographer ask them to chat, or gathering them all together created just a moment in time of joy. Regardless you feel the like you’re part of the crowd. Oh and the background reflecting the color of the bouquets was a nice touch. More photos/info at http://www.WPJA.com/

WPJA 2010 Q2 Contest - CREATIVE PORTRAIT OF BRIDAL PARTY - 7th Place - Photo By: Cristiano Ostinelli from Milan, Italy Judges Comments: I want to attend this wedding. It’s the composition that pushes this picture into the winner category. The curve of the wake from the boat crates a nice frame, the other boat on the left adds another dimension. WPJA 2010 Q2 Contest - CEREMONY - 18th Place - Photo By: Clete Schroeder from Southern California, United States Judges Comments: When I look at a wedding picture, aside from the spectacle with some weddings, I think the deeper meaning is the actual act of marrying. This picture exudes love. The expression on his face tells me there is no other place he wants to be. Now adding nice composition and excellent lens choice, both of which add to the photo. WPJA 2010 Q2 Contest - CREATIVE PORTRAIT OF BRIDAL PARTY - 15th Place - Photo By: Brandon Wright from Southern California, United States Judges Comments: Beautifully done. Photographer's Comment: Shot on our Mamiya C330 TLR using Fuji Pro400h 220 film. Found this location scouting the property day before. I loved the way the light multiplied from their white shirts to almost wash out the guys in the back. More photos/info at http://www.WPJA.com/

WPJA 2010 Q2 Contest - HUMOR - 9th Place - Photo By: Alan Friedman from Georgia, United States Judges Comments: Getting down on the dance floor can be problematic . . . especially when you can’t get back up! This bride may be demonstrating the latest dance step, but from the look on her face she may have stepped over the line. The viewer isn’t exactly certain what’s happening in this photograph, but as the song lyric goes, “Imagination is funny.” More photos/info at http://www.WPJA.com/

WPJA 2010 Q2 Contest - HUMOR - 4th Place - Photo By: Philip Tsang from Hong Kong, Hong Kong Judges Comments: I’m guessing it’s a modern day may pole – it doesn’t really matter it’s funny and the brides expression just adds to the silliness. The framing of the photo was wonderful, with the women on the far left peaking into the frame. Intriguing situation captured with the right lens at the right time and cropped to maximum effect.
