Uranus a beautiful planet indeed--7th planet from the Sun. It has the third-largest planetary radius and fourth-largest planetary mass in the Solar System. Uranus is similar in composition to Neptune...both are different chemical composition than the larger gas giants Jupiter and Saturn. For this reason, astronomers sometimes place them in a separate category called "ice giants"...

Uranus - first planet discovered not known in ancient times, named for Ouranos, "heaven," in Greek cosmology, father of the titans. Cf. Urania, name of the Muse of astronomy. The planet was identified in 1781 by Sir William Herschel who proposed calling it Georgium Sidus, literally "George's Star," in honor of King George III of England. The planet was known in English in 1780s as the Georgian Planet; French astronomers began calling Herschel; German astronomer Johann Bode proposed Uranus.
