Greek cuirass with Pilos helmet, 3th-2nd century B.C. Naturalistically modelled muscled cuirass, possibly for a cavalryman, in the form of a breastplate with copper nipples, above each a riveted Seilenos mask with ring attachment with characteristic pointed ears and detailed flowing beard and moustache, the right side with hinge mechanism for closure, the left with two further attachment rings emerging from openwork palmettes, 51 cm high.
