Catherine Rosalind Russell 1907 - 1976 Rosalind Russell was born into a large Irish Catholic family. She attended Catholic schools and colleges, then the AADA. Worked as a model and in possibly chorus or bit parts on Broadway, before doing stock theatre. By the 1930's she was in Hollywood beginning a film career. Received 4 Oscar noms, 2 Tony noms, and won a Tony and 5 Golden Globes.
