Papa Legba. I'd love to see this costume for Halloween!
In Haitian Vodou, Papa Legba is the loa who serves as the intermediary between the loa and humanity. He stands at a spiritual crossroads and gives (or denies) permission to speak with the spirits of Guinee, and is believed to speak all human languages. Associated with St. Peter. In Santeria Elegua or Esu.

Papa Legba and Other Spirits of the Crossroads
PAPA LEGBA, EXU, ELLEGUA AND CORRESPONDING SAINTLY REPRESENTATIONS OF SPIRITS THAT OPEN ROADS Papa Legba's Ritual Symbol (Veve)
FUN WITH VEVES! Veves are drawn symbols used to call/honor/serve the Vodou spirits (lwa or les lois). They are the calling cards to and from the spirit world. This particular veve is to honor Papa Legba. But here comes the fun part! Tell me what you see! There are said to be lots of hidden pictures and messages - do you just see a bunch of squiggly lines or do you see much more? ;-)
