Tenpa Namkha. Present at the Buddhist-Bonpo debates, he indicated that a realized one has no need to make any distinction between these teachings. Revered by Bonpos and initiated into Mantra by Padmasambhava, he meditated in woods and mountains until fully awakened. Able to tame wild beasts via mudra and collated many advanced texts, particularly those of the sems-de class of Dzogchen.
thethreejewels: The Prayer in Seven Chapters to Padmasambhava. Padmasambhava, meaning “the Lotus-Born,” was a sage guru from Oddiyāna who is said to have transmitted Vajrayana Buddhism to Bhutan, Tibet, and neighboring countries in the 8th century AD. In those lands he is better known as Guru Rinpoche (“Precious Guru”) or Lopon Rinpoche, or as Padum in Tibet, where followers of the Nyingma school regard him as the second Buddha. He is further considered an emanation of Buddha Amitābha.
