The SaeboFlex is a custom-fabricated orthotic used to improve grasp and release. The SaeboFlex places the wrist and fingers in extension. Then due to the support provided by the SaeboFlex, the individual is able to grasp an object by voluntarily flexing his or her fingers. An extension spring system assists in re-opening the hand to release the object. People, up to 20 years after a neurological injury, have been found to benefit from treatment using the SaeboFlex.
