Multiple endocrine neoplasia::: MEN 1 = hyperparathyroidism + gastrinoma + pituitary tumor (prolactinoma)... if a patient presents with hypercalcemia and this is expected... the next step is to refer to surgery for a parathyroidectomy... also, you can't measure gastrin levels when a patient is hypercalemic, they have to be normocalcemic and off PPI's
