A good Southern biscuit recipe may vary slightly by ingredients or style. Some call for self-rising flour, others use a combination of baking soda and baking powder. Some include butter, while others employ shortening or lard. Some bakers let the dough drop from a spoon onto the pan; others neatly roll out and cut it. But one thing’s for certain, the most celestial biscuits are made by stirring together the dough with a very gentle hand. By Mindy Fox

Chocolate covered oreos! If you love girl scout thin mint cookies you will love this! 1pkg dark chocolate and mint chips (mixed bag) 1 pkg oreos 1 tbs of Crisco lard Melt chips and Crisco, drop cookies one or a few at a time into chocolate/mint, use fork to take out, tap slightly to the side of the pan to rid extra chocolate and place cookie on wax lined baking sheet. Once all cookies are dipped, place in fridge to set the chocolate. I also store them in the fridge.
