Lockheed P-38 Lightning F-5E-4-LO (s/n 44-24235) 34th Photo Reconnaissance Squadron, 1945. Manufactured in 1944, this reconnaissance Lightning was Lt John Sanders' second plane. It's name, "Sandy's Bandwagon", was painted on the nose. This photo would have probably been taken in Spring 1945, in Haguenau (France). This aircraft was scrapped in November 1945, and condemned on May 2nd, 1946.
