Gunne Sax Dress "Woke up it was a Chelsea Morning"
My mom made my prom dress to mimic one of the expensive Gunne Sax dresses. Same sleeve design, ribbon, pearl buttons and lace.
A pinner said "There was a time in the 1970s when prairie style ruled. It was THE hippie wedding dress. The vibe was more Stevie Nicks than Louisa May Alcott. With tiered ruffled skirts, Frye boots, high-necked, lacy Victorian collars constituting the definitive dress-up look. Prairie was the very last incarnation of hippie chic styling, and the label that defined it was Gunne Sax by Jessica McClintock."
