Even back in the 1940s, Miss America beauties weren't afraid to show a little skin. Along with their crowns, these winners also donned capes and were given wands and trophies. Barbara Jo Walker (l.) was crowned Miss America 1947 and France Burke was named Miss America 1940 (r.).
