The Banality of Evil: Ted Cannon was on his Mormon Church mission to Germany during the April 20, 1939 parade celebrating Hitler's 50th Birthday, and he photographed a young officer of the Allgemeine-SS holding his son dressed in a traditional German sweater jacket festooned with militaria-like pins and patches.
