After graduating from high school, where she fell prey to the acting bug, Olivia enrolled in Mills College in Oakland. De Havilland won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her performances in To Each His Own (1946) and The Heiress (1949). Today she enjoys a quiet retirement in Paris, France.
