Elle sera bien au stade de Maracana de Rio, le 5 août, à la cérémonie d'ouverture des JO. Elle défilera sous le drapeau aux cinq anneaux, avec un autre nageur syrien, deux judokas congolais et six athlètes soudanais et éthiopiens. Ces dix-là composeront la première équipe de réfugiés jamais engagée aux Jeux.
