After forays into music and archaeology, Hyman chose to devote himself to drawing and painting and became a full-time visual artist. He has worked on books, children’s books, magazines, as well as French dailies such as Le Monde. His pastel paintings were featured in galleries in Europe. One of the 100 most significant artists of the coming decade.
Gustave Caillebotte was a French painter and a generous patron of the impressionists, whose own works, until recently, were neglected. He was an engineer by profession, but also attended the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He met Edgar Degas, Claude Monet, and Pierre Auguste Renoir in 1874 and helped organize the first impressionist exhibition in Paris that same year.
