Join 2022-2023 Climate Detectives and make a difference
In the Climate Detectives school project, teams of students are challenged to investigate a local climate problem. This year the project is open to students aged 8 to 19 years old. By using real satellite images, analysing historical climate data or collecting their own measurements, students can monitor or mitigate the problem they chose to investigate.
The European Astro Pi Challenge is back for 2022-23!
Young people can take part in two Astro Pi challenges: Mission Zero and Mission Space Lab. Participation is free and open for young people up to age 19 in ESA member states (see more details about eligibility on the Astro Pi website). Young people can participate in one or both challenges.
Register for the 2023 European CanSat Competition
The European CanSat Competition is an ESA Education project that promotes STEM skills amongst young European students through project-based learning. A CanSat is a simulation of a real satellite, integrated within the volume and shape of a soft drink can. The team’s challenge is to fit all the major subsystems of a satellite inside this minimal volume, launched by a small rocket up to an altitude of 1 km. As the CanSat descends, its mission begins.
