Amsterdam, Holland, Jews captured in the first round-up taken to a truck, 22-23/02/1941. .authorities arrested over 400 Jewish youths. They were gathered in the Old Jewish Quarter, abused for a long time and then sent to Buchenwald and Mauthausen Concentration Camps. Within months all of them were murdered except for one.

On May 6, 1945, the U.S. 80th Infantry Division liberated the Ebensee Concentration Camp in Ebensee, Austria.  About 60,000 prisoners of 25 different nationalities were liberated, all in various stages of starvation. This photo shows some of the prisoners preparing a meal over an open fire in the camp.
