That's Amilia looking at the camera....frizzel-head (her sister) is to her right and then ... their two nieces, Myrtle the Turtle and Gracie (dunking her beak)..Wolfie ( the other Auntie or the mom of one hard to tell ) is eating ...she jumped off her nest...I did grab one egg last night from under her and oh so warm...candle lighted and no sign of life cracked it and not fertile...gave it to Brandi.
Georgie stays out of Squabbles He's a smart guy Chicken behavior is so, well, B (5across) Often I sit up stairs peering ...the window view is right between the 2 yards. The buckeye in the poultry yd go on their little paths and run, eat, sleep, sit w/each other and have their little life and little program throughout the day and then I can see the old ladies In the garden yrd sunbathing laying together eating grass... they too have their own little program. Neighbors, chicken neighbors.
7:30 am July 2, 2025 already. I gotta get going, glad I gotta go outside for a couple hours. I was thinking HARD that im going to work outside all weekend holiday and then my mind goes right to the sewing room. I also have two new canvas' that i think are two large to tackle unless i did some kind of abstract..searching for something to free my mind of clutter. Nutmeg asked for cherry cobbler tonight and said shed ask daddy to go to the store for vanilla bean ice cream. 😋
He makes a sweet little mumble when I pick up his offerings... What am I going to do with you Georgie. Wolfie is still on her eggs and I forgot to check them last night. 99 % sure they are not fertile. I think we are on day 8, just a guess....will check her tonight and then I might have to do the bad deed and toss them when she is off for a bit so she doesn't see it was me.
July 2, 2025 3 more birthdays until Nov....counting one dog. Old ppl look forward to having a break. Georgie is throwing me cherries. That's how you can tell your rooster likes you. I'm happy, I'm healthy, I'm loved, I'm safe, I say that everyday. But adding "I'm tired" this year. My spark is dim. Things are growing into the pathways, outrageous amount of garden growth this year. And then I think in 95 days IT will all disappear and give me another chance next yr...so I don't feel so bad
June 29, 2025 There goes Amelia darting for cover. Georgie is interested in her all of a sudden I guess she's been out of the flock long enough that he doesn't sense a relation although she's his Auntie....eek he doesn't mate his flock that I have seen. Just the old ladies when he gets a rare chance and now Amilia. Wolfie is sitting on eggs and 99% sure not fertile ...I'm checking them tonight.
